Rationale

I support this PMB and would like to see it referred to the Transportation, Infrastructure and Communities committee for further review. The Bill proposes, at the Minister’s discretion,  to require bidders on federal construction, maintenance and repair contracts to include information on the community benefits that the project will provide. There are no direct financial implications to support Bill C-344. Implementation of Bill C-344 could have financial implications depending on how the Government decides to advance community benefits in federal investments.
